Proverbs 11:14 says "where no counsel is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Life is a continum of hills and valleys that are designed to break, reshape, prune and also equip us for our unique inherent abilities. Let's face it; without the lessons of negative consequences or some punishment we received for doing the wrong thing (s), some of us would never have changed for the better.

With each experience in life comes knowledge and growth. However, growth is not always positive or productive. Wisdom is what enables positive growth, and that doesn't always come from our experience. Wisdom, is gained from the fear of God and also through counsel. Proverbs 15:22 - Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.
