Enjoy the reading of chapter one verses one through eleven of the Book of Ecclesiastes. "All is vanity," lamented Solomon. Solomon like the word "vanity"; in fact, he used it thirty-one times in this book of Ecclesiastes, as he wrote about life "under the sun." From the human point of view ("under the sun"), life does appear meaningless—futile and empty; we can easily become pessimistic.
What a relief to turn from these pessimistic views and har Jesus Christ say, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).
