After Solomon’s pursuit of meaning by wisdom, he turns to self indulgence but quickly says it, too, is vanity. As Christians, we would do well to remember Jesus’ words of Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
