EPISODE 26 – PRIDE 2019 – This year for Pride, Vanessa & Daeron are joined by Andrew & Matty from the FriGay the 13th podcast to discuss the 1988 film “Torch Song Trilogy” (written & starring Harvey Fierstein) & the Jewelle Gomez novel “The Gilda Stories”.  Somehow we restrained ourselves & didn’t constantly do Harvey impressions.  We do manage to have some important conversations about queer identity & visibility.  Unsurprisingly though, Vanessa had to gush about lesbian vampires during the book portion of the show.  Coming next month:  We go kinky with the Luis Bunuel film “Belle de Jour” (starring Catherine Deneuve) & the Shawna Kenney memoir “I Was a Teenage Dominatrix”.
