The carnage that occurred Sunday night in Las Vegas was the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history. As the nation struggles to understand the unfathomable horror of the incident, there are many questions have that remerged each time an event like this occurs. Today, we’ll talk about how we are processing the shooting, the responsibility of the press in covering the event as well as the shooter himself, what defines “terrorism,” and potential solutions for preventing this in the future. We’ll be joined by FRIDA GHITIS, world affairs columnist for CNN, World Politics Review and the Miami Herald, and by DANNAGAL YOUNG, Associate professor of communication at the University of Delaware.
