After a trio of hit films and critical acclaim, the next movie from M. Night Shyamalan failed to impress in the same way. The Village may have its defenders, but their praise was quickly drowned out by movie goers mocking the multiple twist endings of the story. Today we just want to talk about what this movie got right, like a wild creature design, commanding performances by Bryce Dallas Howard and Joaquin Phoenix, and a tight script full of tasty breadcrumbs.
