Army veteran and Republican Daniel Gade will challenge incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Mark Warner in November after Gade beat Alissa Baldwin and Thomas Speciale in the primary, according to a race call by the Associated Press. As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, Gade had 67.1% of the vote. In the 2nd Congressional District, Republican Scott Taylor beat Ben Loyola and Jarome Bell to win the primary.
