In this episode, we’re zooming out. What are you optimizing for? That’s the question at the center of this episode. We have more wearables, supplements, protocols, tests, trackers, and health information than ever before. But sometimes the pursuit of better health starts to feel like another full-time job. We’ll explore why sustainable habits matter more than perfect routines, why consistency compounds, how subtraction can create space for healthier behavior, and why defining “good enough” may be one of the smartest things you can do. You don’t need to win at health. You need enough energy, freedom, capability, and confidence to travel, play, work, create, connect, explore, and be present for the people and experiences that matter most. So yes, train. Sleep. Eat well. Recover. Track. Experiment. But know when to put the wearable away, eat the dessert, skip the workout, and live. The goal of health isn’t perfect optimization. It’s more life.

In this episode, we walk through a simple life audit to help you examine your fitness, nutrition, sleep, time, relationships, and anything else that matters to you. As seasons turn, it’s a natural time to pause, take stock, and ask whether how you’re living aligns with the life you want. The goal isn’t to judge yourself or fix everything. It’s to create awareness. Look for gaps. Notice patterns. Identify what’s working. Find where you’ve drifted. Then make a small course correction. I’ll also share the one question I ask myself each night: Did today move me closer to the life I want to live? Audit the season. Reflect on the day. Then use what you learn to live with a little more intention.

In this episode, we’re breaking down the sleep habits that help you consistently show up at your best. From keeping your sleep schedule consistent and controlling your circadian inputs to managing caffeine, creating a wind-down routine, and preparing for pressure weeks and travel, this episode is packed with practical strategies you can use tonight. We’ll also explore why your wearable is measuring your sleep, not creating it, why being adapted to five-hour nights doesn’t mean it’s ideal, and how to stop being tired and wired at bedtime. Let's explore why sleep is a superpower, if you give it the time and attention it requires.

In this episode of The Vitality System Podcast, I’m sharing 10 quotes and ideas that have stuck with me lately, along with a few thoughts on why. We consume more information than ever. Books. Podcasts. Newsletters. Social media. Research. Quotes. But information only becomes powerful when we actually do something with it. Today, we explore what it means to stop coloring experiences before they happen, change before you have to, embrace uncertainty, build an environment that supports you, choose action over inaction, and focus on the lifestyle that creates the outcomes you want. These ideas come from books, podcasts, newsletters, conversations, and life. My hope is that at least one makes you pause, think, and maybe act a little differently.

In this episode, we explore a simple idea that applies to nearly every health goal: use constraints to narrow your focus. Most of us try to improve by adding more habits, supplements, workouts, apps, and routines. But sometimes the better move is subtraction. Less noise. Fewer decisions. More consistency. We’ll talk about why starting feels productive but isn’t the same as progressing, how constraints can improve execution, and why being consistently good beats being occasionally great. The challenge is simple: stop starting and start finishing

In this episode, I reflect on my first HYROX race and the lessons it taught me about performance, resilience, preparation, and discovering what you're truly capable of. We'll talk about why building your aerobic engine matters, how training should mirror the challenge you're preparing for, the importance of preparation, pacing, and attention to detail, and why some of the biggest breakthroughs happen when you step outside your comfort zone. But this conversation isn't really about HYROX. It's about what happens when you stop avoiding discomfort and start leaning into it. Growth doesn't happen where things feel easy. It happens where doubt gets loud and you choose to keep going anyway. Whether you're training for a race, building a business, or simply trying to become healthier, these lessons apply.
