I thought this was an amazing word study. I was greatly surprised to see how often the word, “voice” is found in the Bible (198x). There is the voice of poor Esau crying out for justice after his deceitful brother, Jacob, stole his blessing (Genesis 27:22-38). There is the anguished voice of King Darius crying out to Daniel to discover if he was still alive after being thrown into the Lion’s den (Daniel 6:20). There is the voice of the “Good Shepherd” in John 10. The voices of many are in The Book of Revelation (33x): Jesus, God the Father, angels, the living creatures and the elders. Revelation 6:10-11 have voices crying out for justice: “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” - Pastor Tom Harrison
