Being ghosted by someone is a pretty big insult these days. It probably felt like a pretty big insult in Jesus' day as well. So when Mary and Martha sent word that Lazarus was dying, and Jesus didn't show up until it was "too late", that was a big deal. When Martha says that Jesus is King, she probably didn't feel like he was King of *her* world - something we still deal with regularly.
