Still on the trail of Yaqub's friend's missing daughter, Oshian and Yaqub have been commissioned to investigate the disappearance of the Emissary, which may be related. The security of the at the Emissary's residence was disrupted when the Hegemonic ambassador visited. But no-one in authority is willing to question the dignitary. So they visit the palatial embassy of the Zenithian Hegemony to question Johar Quassar themselves.
