No, this isn’t about a Steve Martin movie sequel, but rather the relatively new vegan catering company, The Walking Jerk, offering a plant-based take on the traditional Jamaican and Hispanic fare.  Chef Daijah Birchette and Chief Taster Drew Richmond, owners of the food service join the 8 O’Clock Buzz in a pre-recorded interview with host Tony Castañeda and Eli Wilz.  Currently the food service is part of Feed Kitchens, 1219 Sherman Avenue, which is a shared kitchen space.  The owners have recently purchased a food truck from which they plan to bring their meals to a location near you, but you can always order on-line from their kitchen.  They are looking for support for this Black, woman-owned business, from the greater Madison area to allow Daijah to fulfill her dream of eventually opening her own restaurant.  Discover how great vegan cooking can taste and how much better it can be for your soul.
