Publisher's Summary:
Valerie Burrows is running from a wedding, her attorney fiancé, and the law. Pampered Valerie takes a bus to nowhere, where she learns her cash and credit cards have been stolen. Left with only her designer clothes and luggage she takes on a new identity and must learn to be self-reliant. She swears off men, especially attorneys, only to find the one man who refuses a one night stand and wants a relationship.
Matt Jordan, the Colorado Crusher, is the most successful liability lawyer in the state. After the death of his brother-in-law, he realizes he's ready to settle down with a family of his own. His only requirements are intelligent, great-looking, wants more than a hook-up and doesn't lie. After witnessing the lies his father told his mother, he demands complete honesty. Yet Valerie Brown shows him sometimes in order to find yourself, you must become someone else. Even if that means lying.

Shania Twain's Inspiration?
There is a LOT to like about this book with its delightful plot, smooth narration with great voices (did I mention I listened to the audiobook?) and a sweet HEA. But despite her provocations, I had some severe qualms at the start about the bride's actions which made her "wanted" (you'll understand when you read it but SPOILER if I told you now!); and later some of the standing on ceremony by the hero didn't quite jibe with the character previously depicted. And then there is Big Daddy . . . The story is populated with a delightful cast, beautifully situated (always go someplace beautiful!), and overall very well told.
Wanted can have different meanings.
Would you listen to The Wanted Bride again? Why?
Maybe, would depend on my mood. Some funny parts.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Matt's sister is pretty funny. Love how she takes Valerie in despite his protests.
Which character as performed by Lia Frederick was your favorite?
Owner of the diner
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, because the reason she fled is a subject that I hate.
Fun story!!
This was a fun story to listen to. This was a story about love gone wrong and then finding true love. Narrator Lia Frederick did a great job!
