The fiscal cliff, Newtown CT and the end of the world, all these things add up to reasons and support for the position the NRA took today. If we can't rely on each other when things get tough, how can we rely on the police to show up before anyone has a chance to cause problems.

Responsibility is the only way out of a crazy situation, and while the world didn't end today as the Mayans predicted, sanity has certainly taken a vacation.
