The Warrumbar follows thirteen-year-old Robbie Brennan in a small NSW country town in 1969.

After meeting an old man named Moses, Robbie becomes drawn into stories of hardship, war and family history that force him to rethink his identity and past. When he witnesses a tragic event at the Warrumbar dam, Robbie must decide whether to speak the truth and risk everything or remain silent and carry the burden forever. 

Set against a backdrop of poverty, racism and injustice, it’s a powerful coming-of-age story about courage, love and the cost of doing what’s right
