If you watched HBO's The Watchmen, it probably filled you with rage, curiosity, confusion, and disappointment. Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' original work deconstructed and destroyed the American super hero mythos. The work was complete and final.

Or so we thought, until HBO and Damon Lindeloff came along.

The resulting TV series is what happens when an ambitious work is handed to a showrunner without any discernible vision or any further comment on The Watchmen's themes.
