Today I spoke with James Hearne, a Philadelphian singer-songwriter with a powerful voice and a talent for lyrics. James is the lead singer of the four piece band, The Way Home. The band imparts its love of Americana into its well-crafted songs with a blend of jangly rock 'n roll, layered vocal harmonies, and fluid expansive arrangements. James writes the songs for the band as well as for his solo project and plays frequently throughout the east coast. I spoke with James about his song Boundary Blurring, which was recorded by The Way Home on their debut album in 2012.
