Our lives can often feel dark, chaotic, and lifeless. That’s exactly where the Spirit can remain. This week we look at John 14 and Jesus’ teaching about the Spirit, but understand it through the lens of Jewish context. We first see God’s spirit in the book of Genesis 1:2 remaining in the midst of darkness, chaos, and lifelessness. It is in that context that the Spirit of God can bring light, order, and life.
