Temptation is a powerful influence. It is pictured in our message today as a ravenous beast crouching near our door, ready to pounce when we stubbornly go our own way. Cain rejects God’s warning and ends up a murderer. The “way of Cain” continues to tempt us today. In order to overcome we must trust in the blood atonement of Jesus Christ and be ready to fight for our spiritual freedom.
