Fr. Joseph explains that in human nature, it is challenging to respond to evil and hatred with love. The only One who could respond with love is Christ Himself, because He is Love. And the only way we can do what we are called to do, to serve others and bring them to Christ, is to empty ourselves completely and let Christ dwell in us and do the work in us, so that we may respond to everyone with His love and change the world through Him.
