I remember Barbra Streisand singing the song, "The Way We Were". She recorded the song for her fifteenth studio album, titled "The Way We Were" in 1974. There was also a movie titled "The Way We Were" starring Barbra Streisand.

I remember Gladys Knight and the Pips singing the song. They recorded "The Way We Were" singing the 1960 song "Try to Remember" as a part of it.

When I hear the song, the main idea I get from it is memories. I think of the good old days. But sometimes I feel a little sad because after I'm thinking of the past, there are people in the past that have gone and left me. But still, I am left with good memories of the way we were.
