Episode 139 of The Waypoint Podcast is a little different, and we think you're going to love it! Dyke and Rebecca sit down with Lynnell Goacher, who invites us into her world and shares the fascinating story of her life, with the Restoration Movement woven throughout. From connections with Bible colleges across the movement to her work with Standard Publishing and involvement in church planting, Lynnell has a lifetime of stories to share! Through her experiences, we get a glimpse into the rich history of our family of churches, the people who have faithfully served along the way, and the incredible faithfulness of God through generations. This episode feels a little like sitting down with an old friend and hearing some wonderful family stories. We think you'll walk away encouraged and reminded of the beauty of being part of this family of churches!

This week on the Waypoint Podcast, Dyke and Rebecca are talking about one of our favorite groups of image bearers in the church: PRETEENS! Those wonderfully awkward 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are at the heart of Korey Klein’s ministry as the director of SuperStart, Christ in Youth’s (CIY) program designed just for them. Korey brings some fascinating and incredibly encouraging news about Generation Alpha and the Kingdom work God is doing through this generation. These kids aren't just the future of the Church—they are making an impact for Jesus RIGHT NOW! This episode isn't just for children's and youth ministry leaders. It's for EVERY church leader who cares about the future of the Church! You'll walk away encouraged, challenged, and excited about what God is doing in the next generation!

In this episode of the Waypoint Podcast, friend of the podcast Phil Murdock introduces us to his good friends, Jeramiah and Debbie Hayes. The Hayes share their family’s journey from serving with YUGO Ministries on short-term mission trips to eventually saying yes to full-time ministry and moving to Mexico. You’ll hear a great God story about a family following His leading—and discover ministry work you and your church may want to be part of, too. YUGO welcomes churches from the U.S. and Canada for a variety of short-term mission experiences, including building homes for families in need. This is simply a fun, encouraging conversation with a family we think you’ll be very happy to meet!

Dyke and Rebecca sit down with church planter Kevin McNeil as Canvas Church approaches an exciting milestone—five years since launch! (You can hear Kevin’s first conversation on the Waypoint Podcast back in 2021 on Episode 18!) This time, Kevin shares an honest look at what happens after the excitement of launching a church gives way to the work of sustaining one. This conversation is for all church leaders as Kevin talks candidly about the discipline, focus, perseverance, and dependence on the Lord it takes to keep faithfully moving forward. Church planting—and church leadership—doesn’t always feel warm and fuzzy, but God is at work through it all. We think you’ll find a lot of wisdom, encouragement, and perspective in Kevin’s story.

Dyke and Rebecca sit down with Hannah and Will Kendrick as they prepare to launch a brand-new church plant, Soma City Christian Church, in Charleston, South Carolina. At Waypoint, we often say our church planters are some of the bravest and best among us—and as you hear the Kendricks’ passion and the incredible stories that have led them to this moment, you’ll understand why. They are stepping into Charleston with a heart to bring Jesus to their community and serve the Body of Christ. And even before launch day, the work has already begun! Will and Hannah share wisdom, stories of God’s faithfulness, and the incredible ways they are already seeing Him use them and Soma City to reach people. We think you’ll walk away inspired, strengthened, and reminded of what God can do through a willing “yes.”

What does it look like to live a faith worth passing on? In Episode 134 of The Waypoint Podcast, Dyke and Rebecca sit down with Waypoint’s own Paul Viers for a conversation about legacy, faith through the generations, and the Church’s call to invest in those coming behind us. Paul brings plenty of wisdom—and even better stories—as he shares about the people, moments, and lessons that have shaped his own journey. You’ll find yourself getting lost in the stories, laughing along the way, and hopefully walking away challenged and encouraged to think about the legacy of faith you’re building for the next generation.

In this episode of the Waypoint Podcast, Dyke and Rebecca sit down with Cameron Bailey, lead pastor of Kenbridge Christian Church in rural Virginia. Cameron shares the unique joys and challenges of serving in a church with just one paid staff member, reminding us that while the work can feel overwhelming at times, you are never alone—and small churches are doing deeply meaningful Kingdom work every single day. Cameron also serves his community as a firefighter and paramedic, offering a refreshing perspective on how God has used those roles to create ministry opportunities while providing for his family. Cameron's down-to-earth personality, contagious joy, and heart for the Kingdom make this a conversation that will both encourage you and leave you smiling. Whether you serve in a small church or simply want to be reminded that faithfulness matters, this episode is for you.

In Episode 132 of the Waypoint Podcast, Dyke and Rebecca sit down with Waypoint's Mark Magee and Adam Woods to talk about a leadership transition done with wisdom, humility, and joy. As Mark passed the role of Lead Pastor to Adam, they experienced the Lord's faithfulness every step of the way. Together they discuss the importance of having a plan, trusting God's timing, and the lessons they learned throughout the process. Whether your church is facing a transition now or preparing for one someday, this conversation offers practical insight and a hopeful reminder that healthy succession is possible when Christ remains at the center. We pray this episode equips and inspires you for the season you're in.
