There's also an air quality alert to be aware of.Today: As if you needed the heads-up, it's going to be a scorcher! Expect sunny skies with a high near a sweltering 108°F. There's a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm, so keep an eye on the sky. Winds will be from the south-southwest around 5 mph, shifting to north-northwest in the afternoon.Tonight: The heat will let up a bit with partly cloudy skies and a low around 85°F. Still a balmy evening, though. There's a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 pm. Winds will shift to the south after midnight.Sunday: The heat continues with a high near 103°F. Heat index values could climb as high as 108. Look out for a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 2pm and 5pm. Winds will start from the west-southwest and become north by morning.Sunday Night: We've got a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8pm, so you might want to wrap up those BBQ plans a bit early. Lows will be around 78°F, with north-northeast winds at 5 to 15 mph and gusts as high as 20 mph.Monday: A coin-toss chance of rain, with a 50% likelihood of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 2pm. The high will be near a cooler 96°F. Winds will be coming from the north-northeast at 5 to 10 mph.The Week Ahead: Sunny days are here to stay after Monday, folks.
