Let's dive in!Excessive Heat Warning & Air Quality Alert: Yes, you heard it right. We are under an excessive heat warning, so please take the necessary precautions if you're stepping out. There's also an air quality alert to be aware of.Today: As if you needed the heads-up, it's going to be a scorcher! Expect sunny skies with a high near a sweltering 108°F. There's a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm, so keep an eye on the sky. Winds will be from the south-southwest around 5 mph, shifting to north-northwest in the afternoon.Tonight: The heat will let up a bit with partly cloudy skies and a low around 85°F. Still a balmy evening, though. There's a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 pm. Winds will shift to the south after midnight.Sunday: The heat continues with a high near 103°F. Heat index values could climb as high as 108. Look out for a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 2pm and 5pm. Winds will start from the west-southwest and become north by morning.Sunday Night: We've got a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8pm, so you might want to wrap up those BBQ plans a bit early. Lows will be around 78°F, with north-northeast winds at 5 to 15 mph and gusts as high as 20 mph.Monday: A coin-toss chance of rain, with a 50% likelihood of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 2pm.
