Professor Anita Hill has devoted her life to combating gender based violence. She is a lawyer, an educator, and was at this year’s Webby Awards to accept the Best Public Service and Activism Webby on behalf of Pineapple Street Media and The Meteor for the Podcast, Because of Anita.
In 1991, she bravely traveled to Washington and testified to the US Senate that then Supreme Court Nominee Clarence Thomas sexually harassed her. 30 years later, that pivotal moment continues to shape our country and how we deal with gender-based violence, on a social, political and cultural level.
Professor Hill joins the Webby Awards Podcast to talk about her career, how she stays grounded, and her own Podcast, Getting Even With Anita Hill.
