Welcome to the NT90 challenge, a 90 day reading challenge from Nappanee Missionary Church!

Today we read about some people who knew Jesus. Some men were angry with him and plotted to have him killed. A woman loved Jesus and gave him a special gift.

Both the men and the woman did not know that Jesus was going to die on the cross soon, and they did not know they were a part of a story that we would be talking about today! Two thousand years later!

We will be reading from the New International Readers Version of the Bible, which is the translation of the Bible that we use in our K/1 and 2/3 classrooms.

In our reading today, Jesus knew that he was going to die and that he would not stay dead. He also knew that he would be returning to heaven. And he also knew that he would one day come back and take his followers to be in heaven with him. So today we hear his words about being ready for his return.
