On Wednesday, the Trudeau government laid out what it’s prepared to do to get the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion off the ground. It said it’s willing to use your tax dollars to compensate Kinder Morgan for any delays in the project - while it also said it’d search for a new investor if KM pulls out.

And, on Tuesday - Bruce Allen pondered why police don’t release the names of criminals who die in nefarious circumstances, after a man known to police was shot dead at a ferry terminal in Nanaimo. His name was not released. Why? The privacy act is often invoked by police - but isn’t this information it in the public interest? Don’t you deserve to know?
