The Philippine Statistics Authority reported that the third quarter 2021 Philippine GDP grew by 7.1% year-on-year, way ahead of consensus expectations of 4.9%. The second quarter GDP growth was also revised to 12.0% from the initial 11.8%. This brings the nine-month GDP growth to 4.9%, within the government’s full-year GDP growth target of 4-5%.
