Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Welcome to Raven's Readings.
I will be reading to you from The Wendigo, written by Algernon Blackwood in 1910. It’s a novelette about a group of moose hunters in northern Ontario, and a mythical First Nations creature, the Wendigo.
Last episode, we met the hunters while they planned their trip: Doctor Cathcart and his guide Hank Davis; the doctor’s nephew, Simpson, and his guide Joseph Defago. And Punk, the Indian in charge of the camp. Now it’s time for the hunters to head out and look for moose.
I do readings twice a week. If you subscribe to my Substack newsletter, you'll get notified of my updates as soon as they are ready. If you enjoy this reading or have other classics you'd like to hear, please leave a comment.
Remember that you can manage here which sections of my SubStack you’ll receive emails for—Fiction, Odds and Ends, Political Bytes, Podcastings, Sort of a Journal, or all.
