If you’ve said to yourself: “I’m studying for hours for the CPA exam but not learning anything.” come check out the Winston CPA Exam Virtual Classroom. It has video tutorials on things like Corporate Governance from BEC, cash-to-accrual accounting from FAR, and business structures from REG. I break down the concepts so they’re easier for you to understand. Learn how to answer questions and simulations even when you don’t know the answer with my 3-step CPA exam strategy. Here’s how it works.
I remember when I was studying for FAR (all 3 times). I kept telling myself it was hard. It was too much information. I’ll never remember all of this.
FAR is the story of a business - how a company makes money, financial statement accounts, accounting principles, etc. I learned a lot about how to run a business and think through transactions while I was studying. So FAR is actually pretty cool.
I’ve received a lot of questions and DMs recently about study strategies for FAR. The key is to make it relatable and practice to reinforce your learning. Here are some more things to consider when preparing for FAR.

In this episode, I had to relive some tough moments of my CPA exam journey. Trying to study while working and being a mom. After another FAIL from score release, questioning if I wanted to keep going because at this point studying felt like torture. I'm putting in all this effort and still failing and losing credit.
Many candidates get to this point - many times while taking the CPA exam. Should you quit or keep going? The problem is we give up too fast.

We're halfway through the year - are you still #GOALS? Listen to this episode to start having real career discussions with your boss. You still have 6 months to finish strong. I'm reading my REAL midyear reviews so y'all can understand your manager's feedback better. To help you get started having the conversation, download the Employee-Manager 1:1 Meeting template for pointers.
This is the same template I created years ago when I needed to get candid feedback from my boss - and it STILL applies today.. While some feedback was great and some wasn't what I wanted to hear, it was what I needed to hear to elevate myself. If you need to level up in these corporate streets, then grab your template. You can start doing better TODAY. Get the 1-1 meeting template.

None of us want to fail. We stare failure in the face more times than we want to. If you've ever failed at anything - embrace it. We've been trained for so long that failure isn't an option but actually....it is.
