The Whānau Mārama New Zealand International Film Festival – Amanda Peters speaks with NZIFF director Marten Rabarts

Festival Director Marten Rabarts (pronounced Ray-Barts) although living  out of the country for decades in  Australia, New York, London, Amsterdam has always kept his creative relationship with New Zealand alive. He discussed with Amanda Peter his first year as director, the significance of a national festival. How Aotearoa directors like Lala Rolls, Anna Marbrook, Leanne Pooley, Max Currie and Richard Riddiford focus on being in the Pacific is key to our cultural relationships with a wider world.
