The What is Yoga Series - Dharana (Concentration)

Listen Later

Dharana is defined as concentration, or, the practice in which one learns to maintain fixed attention on one particular object. It is often described as the work needed to get your mind prepared and able to do mediation, or Dhyana (the 7th limb). It is the act of concentrating, the act of bringing your “monkey mind” back to this one object over and over again.
Join Jamie as she explores the concept of Dharana as well as 3 simple ways you can practice Dharana both on and off the yoga mat.
