Jasper notes that inventory labels are not printing, potentially leading to empty packages being sent out, directly impacting the Pinecone Hamlet route. They realize the physical manifestation of this silence is causing the wrapping foil on packages to lose its texture and become dull and cold, suggesting material essence drain is occurring even in the upper levels. Elara proposes using the Old Carillon, housed in the Gifting Stage, as its bells are made of pure, highly resonant ancient silver, which may be able to override the acoustic suppression. Their new immediate goal becomes bypassing the high-security lock on the Carillon access hatch, as the Master Key is held by the Head Administrator who is currently occupied with subterranean thermal issues.
