Ford Journalism Prize for Distinguished Reporting and the Aldo Beckman Award. Two awards for his distinguished White House Press Coverage. Cannon is a former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association And in 2007 was a fellow-in-residence at Harvard University's Institute of Politics. Cannon is also a published author.
