At the center of The Healing Road are two strangers from very different backgrounds who meet while traveling across America along the roads that would soon become Route 66. Despite their differences, they share one powerful bond: both are veterans trying to find their place in civilian life.

Sam and Travis discuss the extensive historical research behind the novel, including real locations, hotels, restaurants, slang, food, and cultural details from the period. The Tyler Robinson case is officially moving toward trial.

Sam Whitfield is joined by co-host Mortheous to examine the Utah judge’s decision to send Robinson to trial on all seven charges connected to the killing of Charlie Kirk, including aggravated murder. Robinson has pleaded not guilty, the death penalty remains on the table, and prosecutors must now prepare to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Sam and Mortheous break down the evidence presented by prosecutors, the defense’s challenges, and the crucial distinction between finding probable cause and establishing guilt.

The episode also revisits the controversial Cowboy’s Smokehouse receipt that has been promoted as evidence that Robinson was in Panguitch. Andrew Wilson’s newly publicized phone conversation with the restaurant’s owner appears to expose a major gap between confirming that a receipt exists and proving that the transaction actually belonged to Tyler Robinson.
