Good morning, today is Friday, August 23rd. I’m Mary Regalado and this is your daily briefing from the Wichita Eagle. High temperatures are again in the 80s to end the work week. It may still feel humid, though. Skies will be partly cloudy today, with a slight chance of rain. A new patrol is hitting the streets for the Wichita Police Department. They won’t be carrying guns, or badges, or even Mace. They are members of the new Volunteers in Policing program.
