After covering Midsommar wherein we mentioned the 1973 version of The Wicker Man as an obvious inspiration, we decided to go ahead and re-watch both versions of the film. I think if you are a willing student, these films have a lot to teach. The most important lesson of course being, if you find yourself on a secret island the first thing you should do is find the quickest route off that island. Barring that, asking a ton of questions is probably a bad idea despite your job description.
