We all have a definition for what it means to be "strong," and most of our definitions exclude any kind of vulnerability...it's weak to show any sort of fear or sorrow, right? And yet, even Jesus wept. When Jesus encountered his friends Mary and Martha, as they grieved the death of their brother Lazarus, it was his vulnerability that sparked a wildfire of belief among the people of Israel. In the "deaths" of our own lives, it might just be resurrection waiting on the other side of our courageous honesty.
