There are two ways to live life: on purpose or by coincidence. We either think independently and ask “why” for all important things we do, or we are too busy fulfilling the expectations of those around us. Which one are you?
Just like most people, I spent the first good portion of my life (23 years) living by coincidence. But deep inside I felt there is more. Life is too special to be “just normal”. I decided to live on purpose and since then I can honestly say: every year has been the best year of my life. I became obsessed with the art of achieving more with less energy: how can one earn more and work less?
I feel immensely grateful that over the past 11 years, I have been living the adventure of a lifetime. The places I’ve seen, the people I’ve met (especially after quitting my job and starting my own business), it’s been beautiful. And the best part is… I know the best is yet to come. Once you switch from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset, the sky is the limit. You can aim for the moon, chase your wildest dreams, and have tons of fun in the process.
It’s only a matter or priorities. Do you have your priorities straight? For years I thought I did, but I really did not. I thought that my professional goals were my priorities… and my relationships. Little did I know that I was overlooking the big secret of life:
Our entire lives are only a reflection of who we are on the inside.
Think about that for a moment. It is both shocking and great new at the same time. Shocking because I spent 18 years in formal education and nobody told me this. Great news because it put me in the driver’s seat. I realized that there is only one true priority: to work on myself. To understand how to operate this beautiful body and mind I have been gifted. Once I made that my priority, all day every day, no matter what was on my agenda… things started to shift. I began to create more value and work less. People liked being around me more. I became calmer, I learned to think differently and found answers to the biggest questions on my mind.
