Content discussed from The Winning Keys pages 50-53 and from The Winning Conversation pages 51-58. If you want to engage further we encourage you to listen with a group of people and discuss the following questions.
“You are not your results, but you are responsible for your results”
1. In what areas of my life have I attached my identity to my results?
- Performance levels at work?
- Amount of friends?
- Financial status?
- Titles?
- Voices on social media?
2. What problems arise when my identity is attached to my results?
- Talk about consistency in emotions (emotional rollercoasters)
- Highs are too high and lows too low?
“As humans we prefer to treat the symptoms not the source”
3. Is evaluation a part of my life, in any area?
- Health & Fitness?
- Relationship with Jesus?
- Marriage?
- If so, what does it look like?
4. What in my life just isn’t hurting enough yet?
- Discuss problems, issues, frustrations which have been ongoing for ages.
- What action points could be taken now?
“God sees Christ in you”
5. What does my life look like if Jesus is living it?
- Discuss how thoughts, words and actions would look different.
- At home, at work, in private, in public. Cover all areas!
6. How can we encourage each other in this process?
3. How can we stay focussed, during moments of pain, on the end goal of becoming more like Jesus?
- Again, let’s get really practical. If someone comes in with theory, ask them to make it practical!
- Draw on past experiences of yourself and those in your circle of friends? What worked, what didn’t?
