So many people today, including many people who call themselves believers, rely on what Paul refers to as the "wisdom of this world" in 1 Corinthians 2 as the truth that guides their lives. The Apostle Paul did not preach that wisdom; he only taught the wisdom of God that was revealed to Him through the Holy Spirit that leads to truth for living and the real power of God. Since the close of the New Testament, God has given us the completed canon of Scripture, which should be not just the foundation of all truth for believers, but the SUBSTANCE of all truth by which we live a life of faith. Unbelievers will always reject God's truth, because they cannot understand it nor experience the power of it since they are missing the crucial element of understanding: the Holy Spirit.
