Wisdom is defined as having experience, knowledge and good judgment but good judgment varies depending on what we choose as the highest good.  Does my long-term good outweigh my immediate good?  Is a good eternity more important than a good life?  The Pharisees had very good lives but they missed eternal life because they did not see the need for faith.  If faith is critical, why is wisdom important?  Proverbs (and wisdom) are the undergirding of faith.  It is wisdom that shows us where to place our faith - to fear the Lord; to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding.
