We're back! We rejoin Kvothe in his adventures in Haert as he learns he has to train his way to freedom to help Tempi, return to the Maer, and save his precious fingers. He also hears two Adem stories, which may or may not have nuggets of truth in them, fights a child, gets romantic with Vashet, and compliments Shehyn's little hat. Other topics include "barbaric," the origins of the Adem reds, and wiping with bread.
