Major Thomas Weir was a Scottish soldier and a well-respected member of Edinburgh's City Guard. Despite his good reputation as a Christian, he was executed in 1670, becoming the last man in Scotland to be executed for witchcraft. He was charged with bestiality, incest, and adultery, making his case quite infamous in Scottish history.
