The Witches' Year refers to the Wheel of the Year, which is a cycle of eight seasonal festivals called Sabbats which are annual solar festivals marking the Wheel of the Year (solstices, equinoxes, and cross-quarter days), focusing on seasonal change and nature. Whilst Esbats are monthly or bi-monthly gatherings, typically during full or new moons, focusing on personal magic, coven business, or working with deity energy.
