The "evil eye" is a widespread belief found in many cultures around the world, rooted in the idea that a person can cause harm simply by casting a jealous or envious gaze upon someone else. This look is thought to bring bad luck, misfortune, or even illness to the unsuspecting person. Often unintentional, the evil eye reflects the power of negative energy focused through attention, especially when driven by resentment or ill will.
