Big Idea - Question: Who is the one that John came to announce, and why does it matter that we know Him?

Answer: Jesus is the Son of God — one so much higher than any human messenger, whose ministry is so much greater than anything that came before. John was merely the forerunner, but the King he announced is the Lamb of God who takes away sin, the revelation of God to humanity, and the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit, uniting our very souls with God. The real question is not "Who are you?" but "Who is He?" — and once you have truly seen Him, that seeing changes you permanently and compels you to bear witness.
