1. God shakes our false hopes until they fail (vs 16-25)

• False religions will fail (vs 1-4)

• Fabled economies will fail (vs 5-10)

• Fabulous leaders will fail (vs 11-15)

2. God makes our former foes into fellow worshippers (vs 16-25)

• They begin to fear God and his people (vs 16-17)

• They agree to follow God and join his people (vs 18)

• They repent and God saves them (vs 19-22)

• They unite with other former foes (vs 23)

• They carry God’s blessing to the world (vs 24-25)
