This week on the assignment notebook podcast Zach sits down with Adam Roy (www.http://twitter.com/adnroy) from Westword magazine (http://www.westword.com) to discuss the video game The Wolf Among Us by Telltale Games. This game is based on the Fable series of comic books and is played via a series of conversation trees and quick time events. One of the big hooks of the game is that your choices affect the ending that you'll see. This was a great chat about what makes a game and if this is the future of storytelling. Next week on the assignment notebook podcast, your assignment is to write a poem! I'm talking with poet and fellow Chicago podcaster, Rob Hendler who runs the fantastic poetry podcast Poet At The End Of The World (facebook.com/poetsend, twitter.com/poetsend). We're going to use lists as prompts to help us write our poem, in order to get a pool of words and concepts to draw from. 1) for 45 seconds write Things that you're afraid of and once done, choose one. 2) for 1.5 min write adjectives that describe that thing that you're afraid of and choose 3. 3) for 45 seconds, write a list of locations where you might encounter that thing that you're afraid of and choose 1. 4) for 45 seconds, write a list of things you'd like to accomplish one day, and choose one. The poem is going to start with the line "I never thought it would come to this."
