In our chronological walk through the gospels, most recently Jesus had

returned with His disciples from Caesarea Philippi, back to their home base

in Galilee. He has spent time pouring into His disciples: establishing in

their minds His role as the Messiah, introducing to them the word “church,”

teaching them about conflict resolution and forgiveness.
