"For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him."  - John 3:17

This woman was caught by merciless men in an act punishable by death.  They brought her to Jesus to entrap him and condemn her.  Jesus dealt with these men in a mysterious way, but whatever He communicated to them caused them to drop their rocks and walk away.  Jesus asks her, "who is there to condemn you?" and she responds, "No one Lord."  

Just like He does for us, Jesus intervened on this woman's behalf to free her from her just punishment.
